Dr. Thorsten Groth is responsible for buyout investments in Europe with a main focus on the U.K. and BeNeLux markets. Prior to joining Allianz Thorsten has been with Nordwind Capital, working on buyout investments in the German-speaking mid-market. Previously, he served as a scientific assistant at the KfW-endowed Chair in Entrepreneurial Finance at the Technical University of Munich, where he also completed his Ph.D. Thorsten holds a master’s degree in business administration from the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel and an M.B.A. from Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business in Pittsburgh. Thorsten is a CFA charterholder and member of the CFA Institute and the German CFA Society.
