Jonny Maxwell is Global Head Private Equity Fund of Funds and has overall responsibility for Allianz’s indirect private equity activities, operating out of locations in Munich, New York and Singapore. Prior to joining Allianz in 2007, Jonny was Chief Executive at Standard Life Investments (Private Equity) Ltd in Edinburgh, Scotland. During his 17 years at Standard Life he built the private equity business and assets from a small single client operation into an international multi-client manager with private equity assets over EUR 5.5 billion. He began his career in private equity in 1984 at Stewart Fund Managers and has been involved in both fund and direct investment transactions throughout. Jonny has a law degree from the University of Strathclyde, a MBA from the University of Edinburgh and is a Fellow of the Securities Institute.
