APEP will only invest in funds with substantial private equity experience, a unique or strong position in their target market, an excellent investment judgment backed by thorough due diligence, a demonstrated ability to create value at portfolio level and a track record of investments that have exited successfully.

We also seek talented, well-rounded and motivated teams with a long history of successful collaboration and also foster a partnership culture.

Given our "bottom up" approach, we are constantly open to new investment proposals regardless of the sector, stage or geography - they only have to demonstrate the attributes that we seek.

In addition to the "bottom up" approach, we also apply portfolio design principles, bearing in mind a given client's desired risk, return and currency characteristics.

We focus on achieving the benefits of diversification without limiting the possibility of achieving excess return.

Our clients typically have a 5-10 year investment horizon and invest across multiple geographies and stages.
